Looking at the tour of the Dig in van I noticed that apart from going to leeds, northern england seems to be a no go zone. Why is this? Its not that grim up here in the North-West that we can't grow our own veg.

Aye, but remember, when a southerner looks at a map, anything north of The Wash has "here be dragons" written on it. As my departed F-in-L once said to me "You northerners eat your children during the winter." So I pointed out that it was a good job he was a Londoner as if he'd have been from the north not have made it past the age of five.. He was not amused.
Their sat nav has only got Loondon maps loaded and there is no one at the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú with the technical ability to load on the whole country.
Or they were just worried about loosing the tyres.
(or it might be a green thing not to drive that far)
Nothing grows north of Birmingham apart from rhubarb, and that grows only in Yorkshire hence them going to Leeds
Don't need the van to come up north. All that they have to do is send me my free seeds so that I can get them planted on my allotment. Many of us in the north-west already know what we are about.
That is why Carol Klein is doing missionary work in southern parts.
