Bring Back Monty Don

  I have just watched the worst Gardeners world Program ever.
  the program was like a cross between Blue peter and the flower pot men.
  some idiot who has a garden gnome sanctuary (I can Hardly type the words without feeling nauseous) was a total waste of time the presenters should be sent there they are as completely wooden as some of the Gnomes.
  I have always liked Carol Klien she has a lot of enthusiasm for gardening and a lot of knowledge,but in this series she is as wooden as the rest of the team .The production is dreadful, the content is so amateurish,the producer should be fired. the main presenter Toby Buckland was the worst, he presentation style sounded as if he was talking to children, he then hammered some bits of wood together to make a load of rubbish you could put on the garden wall (or the bonfire)
  There are not many decent gardening programs to watch most of them are rubbish, but Gardeners World was about real Gardening,not about a makeover or other such nonsense. Percy Thrower , Geoffrey Smith, Geoff Hamilton ,
  and Monty Don were real Gardeners. presenting a real gardening Program.

  Heaven knows (and posters on this board too) that I am a real fan of MD, but I know he won't be coming back to GW unfortunately.
  
  Howeve, I join you wholeheartedly in wishing the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú would find a 'real' gardener to lead what used to be the finest gardening programme ever.
  
  Even one of those bl--dy garden gnones could have done better than tonight's offering!

  RowanCottage, we'll agree to differ on MD.
  
  I just cannot believe this programme so insensed me that I've spent the entire evening since the end of the programme here in front of my computer rather than in a comfy chair in front of the fire! Says it all really.

  I have only recently 'got into' gardening and Gardener's World but tonight's programme made me feel frankly irritated at times, and I didn't find anything inspirational about it whatsoever. I'm far from being an expert but that doesn't mean I appreciate the programme being dumbed down to utter pointlessness. I watch the programme to learn. If I wanted to teach my children about gardening, I'd expect that to be catered for on children's tv. I know it's a family show, but i was so bored I turned over.
  
  Can we also dispense with the awkward 'let's try and have some matey banter and a what's hot and what's not wall just like Top Gear' section at the end? And the gnomes. And the x-factor style elimination process for those people wanting to work with Carol. I'm not interested! Just do some gardening!
