Tuesday evening Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú2 9pm CRUICKSHANK ON KEW: THE GARDEN THAT CHANGED THE WORLD. An exploration of the history of London's famous gardens. It looks impressive.
Is that Dan Cruickshank? The guy who did 'House Detective' I like him he reminds me of an old friend of my parents:
Yes it is. I was wandering around Kew last October and saw him and a film crew. I wondered at the time what he was up to; now I know.
Deprived (as we all are) at present of any informative horticultural TV, I'm really looking forward to this program.
It is of course to celebrate Kew's 250th anniversary.
I spotted this while browsing my tv guide. Love Dan C so will definitely be tuning in.
In Scotland it is on Wednesday at 9:
Thanks for letting us know about this Paul, I thoroughly enjoyed the programme
Great programme
Woohoo - a double gardening whammy for all the Scots gardeners - Beechgrove AND Kew, fab!
Thanks for the heads up
AX
I found it a bit dry and dusty, but then I've done nine gardens today (and I got soaked in a heavy shower) so am a bit pooped. I have videoed it so shall watch it in it's entireity when I am more wide awake.
I thoroughly enjoyed this programme! Loved the part about the seed bunker, I wonder how long seeds keep?? lets hope we never need it though.
Loved this !
I was down at Kew last year and saw things on this programme that I missed while I was there.
Must visit again !
A very interesting programme, I enjoyed it very much.
I enjoyed it too

Now this was one programme we got in Wales. What a change it made to watch something of interest rather than some of the other rubbish thats on in Cymru. Well Done Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Wales - for once - now don't get too big headed I'm watching you - or not as the case maybe.
I agree it was a nice surprise to watch a programme in Wales at the same time as the rest of the UK. The programme bought back some fond memories of childhood visits to Kew some 45 years ago when I lived in Kingston-Upon-Thames.
I think we all need more of the same programmes, this was just 'An Pair of Teeth'
This might be of interest to some
