Does anyone have any insider info?

So far I have found out that Andy Sturgeon, Chris Beardshaw and Carol Klein will be doing the Red Button Coverage. As this is a highlight of the coverage I am cheered to read it.

Also read that there will be no Wesley Kerr as the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú have cutback and won't be sending him off to record in exotic locations for the behind the gardens sections. This is a disappointment as I am a fan of him and like to know what has inspired the designers. (NO diatribes against Wesley please, I know there are people who are not fans and I don't need to be told again!)

But what I want to know is whether Alan will be presenting. Monty Don never seemed to go to the show but I'm assuming that Toby will be there and am wondering how the dynamics will play out.

As the main presenter on GW will TB want to oust AT? Perish the thought!

I'd expect it will be just the same as every other year - masses of coverage everyday, twice a day, and yet we never really get to see any of the gardens properly, there will be lots of blurry shots from funny angles, we will see plants, but the same ones over and over, lots of slebs and lots of gushing, strange pre-recorded features from faraway places, at some point Joe Swift will be made to dress up as a clown and lie in a paddling pool or something similar, and it will all be wrapped up with comical footage of people trying to get on buses with outsize plants.

The one thing I've always wanted to see on the telly but they never do, is a feature on those formidable queue-control shouty women in the ladies toilets. They are stars!

The website will be keeping you updated with latest developments from the showground in the run up to the show. Phyll smiley - smiley

Thanks for that good news Phyll. I would really miss seeing Alan in his usual seat and the banter that goes on.

Have bookmarked the link too and will be checking in regularly.

    Thanks again.

Good news... I am now feeling marginally less glum... in fact quite cheered by the thought of beautifully photographed (even if blurry) plants, coming to a screen near me in the very near future :D

Good to know that Alan stays and Wesley doesn't.

Does anyone know who is presenting the lunchtime programmes? We've had a motley collection in the past, so hope it's a real gardener at last.

    Pete.

The make Chelsea more 'relevant' the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú are going to team up with Sir Alan Sugar for an episode of The Apprentice.

The two teams will the challenged to sell the new style of Gardener's World to disgusted viewers. AN impossible task indeed!
