What a brilliant show last night! It was just how gardening programmes should be, I wish it was an hour long though!

I thoroughly enjoyed it. I love the way they are open about things going wrong and then doing ways of putting it right - such as the pruning - and a clear description of *why* the hedge was going to be trimmed into the 'A' shape. Then the credit crunch garden and use of reclaimed materials.. the trial of patio veg in containers starting..
Just watched it on i-player. I've got an old large plastic planter & no pond.....! J.
I've copied this from the May 6th programme thread
Hi Amazing and all - saw BG yesterday but very busy so shall be brief.
The usual ..... bliss.
It lifted my flagging spirits just to hear the theme tune and see the smiling face of Jim McColl - overall impression always 'we're in safe hands here'
Down-to-earth gardening without the gimmicks
Enjoy - got to dash
The tedious credit-crunch garden was a fraud. Let's look at the accounts.
Broken Pot - £0 (saving £5 over new pot)
Ground work - £100
Electricals - £100
Hard landscaping - £100
Planting - £75
So, massive saving of £5 there.
It's still better than GW any day and to some people, saving £5 might be quite exciting!
I loved it...... ALL of it!
>to some people, saving £5 might be quite exciting!<
Aberdonians obviously
Still couldn't understand a word they were saying.
J.J Carter If you don't like the show don't watch it:
I do not have much money so to save £5 is good; Not everyone has money to spend on their garden: Please do not come on here and knock a good show: Try pressing 888 and getting subtitles:
As my OH was saying earlier; Why can't we have subtitles so we can understand those people who live in that inferior country (especially the area that JJCarter lives):
That doesn't include the friends I have who live there or my gardening buddy from Wales: To be grammatically correct I should have said '"Where" JJCarter lives':
I am with you amazing and as you know most TV's these days have a "subtitle" option on request if anyone wants it. I think JJ is having a "wind up" to your sensitive nature since although presenters are obviously and enviously Scottish in no way can they be said to be "broad" and not understandable.
Don't forget ITS on tonight now don't you be busy again or are you exhibiting at Chelsea??
More like making an exhibition of myself welshcol
Now that is sure to win a gold medal!!!!
I hope the other Carole is on tonight.
