I've got a bottle of rioja ready opened and breathing..
Some cheese and biscuits to nibble on...
Some tissues ready for when I snork a mixture of dry biccies and red wine..
Ear plugs to drown out the OH snoring through it..
GW tonight! I can't wait.. I'm hoping to see more of the sensible pond, the white border that is silver, the shed. I want to know why my plantlets turn blue when I put them outdoors too early..
Anticipation, anticipation, anticipation....
You are far more well prepared than I am Carmen! I still have to buy the plonk
I'm ready!
Oh is away, so won't mind me muttering imprecations throughout.
I'm not that sure what an imprecation is, but my mutters are along the lines of...
Oooh - they won't like that on the message boards!
Can't wait, on a torrentially rainy Friday.
I may need some cheese footballs - do they still make them?
nooj - why are we both muttering the same thing?
Because this board is the ultimate litmus test of what GW viewers think?
So much better feedback than P of V!
Have plonk.
Have tomato seedlings to throw at the screen.
Also have bag of mini Lindt bunnies and eggs, must not confuse with tomato seedlings.
Carmen - I can recommend Junior baby wipes for cleaning up unfortunate snork effects.
My preparations consist of setting it up to record as we're out tonight. Further preparations will include having the FF button primed for the very silly bits. On current form I doubt I'll be needing the notebook and pen that was essential for former incarnations of GW.
Other than that it'll be wine or coffee depending on when I can snatch some time this weekend to watch it. No nibbles as I'm supposed to be in winter blubber shedding mode.
I hope we get some sensible planting advice and tips on what to propagate/prune/divide/plant out and so on. Maybe an interesting garden and someone who knows about pests and can give us clear advice on dealing with them - that new wisteria scale insect for example and rosemary beetle and lily beetles and all the other critters that treat our gardens like a buffet.
I'm not likely to get home for another couple of hours (or more) and I haven't even sourced my libation yet (what a word!)
Mind over matter mantra "calm down dear - you'll get there and be sitting comfortably just as it begins"; "calm down dear - you'll get there and be sitting comfortably just as it begins"; "calm down ........
No arrangements for me as I won't watch it, four weeks is enough and I doubt it will improve.
Oh come now Super Nanny, where is your sense of adventure?
Besides, we have to have something to laugh at!

I'm going to watch it through some 3D glasses I got from the cinema! Eeek!
No wonder you need the wine!
Carmen,
Your taking the Proverbial now. Why not rub the Welsh noses in it somemore - no wait don't.
I'm watching tonight - I could do with a laugh. Just hope it dosn't raise my blood pressure instead!
Never mind Betti. You and I - and no doubt many more - can take the proverbial out of GW itself after we've watched it later. Don't think we'll be alone.
It'll be lovely, won't it?
My test for tonight is that it says Alys is going to build a cold frame.
That will be so good, but if any oik comes along to tell her she's got it wrong with the nails or whatever, I too will be chucking stuff at the screen.
Not tom seedlings though Toonia, that's just messy, innit?
i wonder if there will be an update on DigIn seeds, and whether Wafflycat will see it in rehab?
The tension is building.......
OK Piggin, against my better nature I will watch it tonight but be prepared for my ire tomorrow. It will be your fault lol.
PS The alternative will be to watch it through a haze of Glenmorangie and not remember a thing tomorrow.
This is what you all need: A big pile of these:
Why are you not watching the rugby on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú2 Wales ?!!! then you can sift through thew threads and decide if it worth watching or not and your wine will have matured a bit more.
Yes they still do make cheese footballs but apparently only at Christmas
By the way where is my cawl and dough-boys??
Just heard on 5 Live that the British get angry more times a day than ANY other nation in Europe (almost five times a day). We are closely followed by the French and Germans on around 4, but the Dutch are below once a day, and Scandinavian countries even lower.
I reckon it's a national condition - we just love getting angry, and I can imagine lots of boarders getting the nibbles and bottles of plonk out and taking their seats in front of the TV, just hoping GW's going to give plenty of reasons to be angry tonight, and itching to get back on the boards to have a mass 'moan in'. Can't wait!

Au contraire, Goldilocks mon brave! We are showing the true British Spirit of courage in the face of adversity!
Hi welshcol - although I have the blood, I don't live in Wales, and I;m only three quaters welsh.
My dad was English, but my Mum insisted welsh blood was stronger, so that made me three quarters.
Who am I to argue with a welsh woman.?
Cawl does not lend itself to travelling, as i'm sure you know.
gets messy
Perzackerly, Ms Sensible!
Courages, mes braves
However, in true british fashion, i have rootled through my cupboards, and have some black olives and some sesame thins.
I have the ingredients for a cheeky little salad nicoise of course, but I'm British, so I'll stick with the nibbles.
The sky has gone dark, as if to presage a deluge.
I do hope it's not a portent
I too am prepared ( wine, cream crackers, cheese, marmite )and I thought I was alone in thinking "ooh they won't like this on the messageboard" at least a dozen times per programme
The French wouldn't just be moaning, they'd be out on strike and manning the barricades!
(That's if they had a good gardening programme to lose in the first place)
Aux armes, citoyens!
I'm just going to have a bowl of hot soup... I'm freezing as I've just been dredging the moat (actually the pond).
It's like a spell has been broken. I don't think the great British public will ever take anything any of them say seriously again, and that includes Toby Buckland. So there!
Hi folks. Glad you're all looking forward to the show... perhaps you can add your comments to the programme thread after you've watched it:
Closing this one, so we can avoid a multiple discussion situation.
Thanks Phyll
