Does anyone have a plan of how the site it laid out, as I only know the bit near the greenhouse. Also was the decking path used earlier in the year just for preparing the site? Thanks
I'd love to see a plan too please
There was an article in the April issue of gardeners world magazine, including a plan and a guide to the different planned themes areas. If you can get hold of a copy this will give you all you need.
I could scan it but i dont think I could share an electronic copy with you on this messageboard. Could look into it for you if you like.
Richard just scan it into 'my pics' then into photobucket then onto here;

I would like to see how they made the decking path,I was thinking about making a similar one myself (on a 'slightly smaller' scale) but am struggling with making a tight curve without a lot of cutting. Any suggestions or directions to a suitable site.
Cheers
Hi alwaysdigging, I visited the garden recently, the curved decking path is made of parallel planks set on joists laid like wandering tramlines, then the planks are cut at the edges to form a curved path. Easier to draw than describe!
Hi Crouchee
You are right. definitely easier to draw than describe. I've been out with bits of plank and joists and can report that the wavy path is relatively easy to achieve (in miniature anyway), the difficult bit is a tight curve around an island bed or a pond for example,I think that the planks would have to be cut like wedges of cheese which is potentially a lot of work and requires a steady hand and skilful sawing qualities I don't possess. Any suggestions anyone?
