On tonights GW, there was a lovely plant featured in the greenhouse at Wisley. It was called Persian Sheild (strobilanthes dyerianus). Does anyone know where I could get some seeds of this plant???
I'd like to help, but can't find it myself! I've tried the usual oddball suspects - Chilterns, Jungle seeds. Nicky's seeds. So, mission on...
Googled it and all the seed people are in America.
Frank.
Hi Woodlily , have you got a B&Q store near you. I saw some in there last week
Sorry I didn't read your message properly, you wanted seeds. You could always buy a plant and take cuttings
Hi Trillium
I bought a couple of these plants altho I dont really like them as they seem false, a bit like those painted heathers.I bought them to cheer up a corner and put some pale lilac feathery plants (ptilotus)by them. They seem happy there . Do you know if they will survive or are they just annuals. I have just nipped out and taken a couple of cuttings and shoved them in the ground, if they strike I can pot them up and put in the greenhouse .Pardon my ignorance.
