hi gardeners world is back on tonight hope toby improves
Watched tonight's programme first time in ages and never seen Toby before. Not too impressed, may watch next week. Much prefered the programme when Alan Titchmarsh presented and of course the great Geoff Hamilton.
Unfortunately, I found the program pretty boring, but to be fair, it is still winter so not much to do outside. What they were doing was in the rain and who ever found sowing seeds in the shed interesting!
I was more interested in Toby's boots! I kept trying to see the brand name but he didn't stand still long enough! Any ideas, anyone?

Hello Monnika - the boots are made by a firm called Dubarry - they have a website, so you can Google & find them. I'm now on my 2nd pair of same - not because they wear out quickly (1st pair lasted 6 years - I bought them when they first came on sale) but because I wear them all year round - dog walking as well as gardening etc. They're rather expensive, but well worth it when you know how long they last & what they put up with - e.g. totally waterproof & far comfier than wellies. Cheers! Ma.
toby has been buffing up- looks a lot healthier than last series.
Dubarry, you aren't kidding they are expensive, I liked the galways boots though and their bags and jackets are nice.
Thanks Ma (!!!) I'll make sure OH gets the link.....and the hint.....
The price!

Hi Monnika - yes they are dear, but when I think of how many other pairs of boots/wellies I'd have gone through in 6 years, I don't think the cost of a replacement pair's all that bad. Added to that, they really are nice boots! Cheers! Ma.
If you google wellies...Rock fish wellies start at about £30 going up to £240 for a pair of Hunter Balmoral Sovereign Black wellies (reduced from £300) and they just look like normal wellies! and no were near as sylish as Dubarry.
If you start working on your OH now Mo, who knows this time next you too could be walking around in a pair of Dubarry's.
I might wait for the sale
Each time I looked at Toby I thought of Puss in Boots - those boots and that belted jacket. He only needed a tricorn hat with a feather.
