It seems to me that in alot of the gardening programmes green roofs and vertical planting schemes are used, and yet at no point has anyone ever gone step by step through the process of making one yourself as none of these systems are readily availble in the shops.
I think they are a great idea but would like to be told more rather than just see them used.
Also when they are used bbc should have archive to watch them being done again because although you may not want to start a project like that at the time you may want to now, such as Joe swift building a green roof on his bike shed or alice fowler on her rabbit hutch, i cannot find these clips anywhere does any one agree???
Hi Tyler, I know nothing about either, but out of interest I "googled" them and there is really quite a lot of information on both subjects. Hope that helps. Nan x
Tyler, Beechgrove Garden did some vertical planting last year, I'll see if I can find a link for you.
Tyler, there's also a guide on the Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú's gardening guides
Hope that helps
Tyler, I have a book titled 'Planting Green Roofs and Living Walls' by Nigel Dunnett and Noel Kingsbury, published in 2004. It has everything you could need to know and when you read it you realise how behind we are in this country.
