I tried to warn everyone about this yesterday but the messageboard was playing up. Beechgrove was not on last night at it's usual time - it's on this Friday (14th May)at 7.30pm Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú1 Scotland.
I had everything ready to record it yesterday and was amazed to find it missing! Never mind, it will give me something good to watch tomorrow!
Thx Jaqui, I watch it on i-player on a Thurs so Mon for me it will this week. J.
Looking forward to seeing it later
Beechgrove was not on last night at it's usual time - it's on this Friday (14th May)at 7.30pm Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú1 Scotland.Â
I couldn't see it in the programmes (on the 'Blue Lines' as we refer to it here), and my Sky-Plus which is programmed to record the whole series didn't pick anything up either??
I've even had a look (again on the 'Blue Lines') for a repeat on Sunday (tomorrow) - but nothing shown there either ??
Another great episode - Jim always makes us laugh with his antics. It's always interesting to see Carolyn's fingernails each week, most of the time each one is a different colour!
Last night's show (19th May) was great as usual, especially the bit about the ferns.
Although I enjoy the show I have to admit to finding Lesley (the lady with blonde hair) ever so slightly irritating.
Be warned - the show starts at 7pm next week (26th May)
I think Lesley is an ex or current RHS judge since have seen here as part of the "huddle" for garden judging at Chelsea. In saying that although her style is not so casual as the other BG presenters, especially Jim who is very much tongue in cheek with all the females around, I find what she says is succinct, useful and topical although she is better on her own since her and Carol do tend to talk across each other. Anyway Jim will sort them out.
Anybody hear Carol on GQT this last time? She's been on before, when it's come from Scotland, but nice to put a face to the voice. Plan to watch last weeks episode tonight or tomorrow. J.
I have got BG down as 7-30pm on Friday 4th June on Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú 1 Scotland-any chance of this being right?.
Yes, it's so they can show the Scottish Gardening Show. they mentioned at the end of last week.
We've set it up on the player already.
I've not had time to watch last weeks yet, will do now.
Well have just missed the previous one on i-player! Am away next week....but should have access to a pc at hotel so all being well hope to watch next one. J.
I think we are back to Wednesday 7pm Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú2 Scotland this week unless there is a replay of the World Cup second qualifying round match from 1966
Well I never did get round to using pc at hotel & episode 10 is no longer on i-player! Not a happy bunny. J.
Well don't forget its Friday 7-30pm Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú1 Scotland otherwise you might be missing out again
ping.............its on tonight-I think
I see BG is off for two weeks poor Jim going on holidays and he is blaming the football and tennis --- at least not so bad as GW going off for four
Well it's certainly not the tennis as the wonderful Beechgrove does not usually stop during the season. It's an 'intelligent' programme which, when necessary, moves to a channel where's there's space to air it (but I suppose all those boys and their balls have used all the space up this year )
It's the deadly combination. They mimed football and tennis as the reasons for their enforced holiday.
Phew, managed to watch it on i-player last night, J.
I'm having withdrawal symptoms - anyone know when the lovely Beechgrove is back?
It will be back Thursday 8th July, Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú1 19.00
thanks amazing - have put it in my calendar and only two days to go
Just hope Jim and the "girls" are back from their holidays........
Was Beechgrove on? We were watching a film. I was hoping to watch on iplayer, but its not on.
It's on Thursday this week - 7pm Scotland 1
Was Beechgrove on? We were watching a film....Â
Have you been on the high strength malt again ? BG on tonight not last night.
I think so Welshcol, thought yesterday was Thursday.
Beechgrove ... it's back ... and it was bliss
I really enjoyed that!
Dont foreget, especially , Wednesday BB1 Scotland 7-30pm.
Just caught up on last weeks.
Now I know what has been eating that one clump of Aquilegia- I just thought it was small snails! Other plants in the garden seem unaffected, but had already lost the Solomons Seal in that border too so it now makes sense. J.

Just finished looking at the Beechgrove this week. It was another splendid programme. I'm trying to think whether the Beechgrove has indeed continued to improve this year, or whether it's just because Gardeners' World has lost it's way (though it's much improved from the previous year's disaster) and I'm just so happy to watch a good gardening programme again. I'm not a great fan of frivolous TV, but I find myself smiling along with the presenters of Beechgrove, as they have discussion about the various aspects of a topic. The presenters of GW just don't 'click' in the same way, yet it is the presenters of GW who are catapulted into their own televised ventures and associated money-making spin-offs. It's a strange old world when failure is rewarded in this way.
Enjoyed this weeks. With next week being from a community garden does that mean no i-player? J.
Yes I think so. Jo.
ping............on tonight
Missed the programme as we were in Tickton having a look at the boat we sold last year. Was it good?
ping...make sure you do not miss tonight
Another lovely programme tonight. It really should be shown across the entire country, as an example of what's possible with the right people presenting.
....as an example of what's possible with the right people presenting.Â
May I add the right production and direction staff and some decent camera person(s)as well? Typically there is more in a five minute BG episode than a whole episode of GW-there just seems to be less gloss and trivia and more gardening.
Missed it as we were sitting enjoying sunshine in the garden for a couple of hours but am going to watch now (I hope) on iplayer.
Living (as I do) south of the border, I've never (although intrigued by comments here) watched this program....until now, that is. I've just discovered that I can view it on iPlayer.
I've watched, enjoyed and concur with all the complimentary posts I read here. What a refreshing change to see a gardening program about the business of gardening, with no silly gimmicks.
Now you know what we've been going on about David! i-player very useful. J.
Just caught up with last weeks episode.
It amazes me how much they can pack into 30mins & you still get hints & tips.
Mind you I could have watched the Hostas all night! J.

Totally agree and presented so well.
GW really needs to take a good look at Beechgrove, Gardening Australia too, to see how it's done.
Phew, just managed to watch last weeks on i-player.
Now am wondering about trying a courgette plant in a pot in the greenhouse next year, then if we move I can take it with me! J.
According to my listings BG is on Friday at 7-30pm Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú1 Scotland.
Any advances???
Yep as far as I know, we have Holby at 7.30, then
GB Waste food comp until 10. (not)
