I am with you on this. I suffer from tinnitus and the program is ruined by all the din that is over the talking. It is not just gardening programs they are doing it with many others to the extent, I am turning off the TV and reading a book in stead.
I was so cross with this evening's nonsense that I Emailed on the Chelsea Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú site. I don't expect a response, and I don't expect any action.
Anyone who has ever watched Points of View will know that intrusive music is a common complaint (not just at Chelsea). It's never brought about a positive result, though!

I don't mind some gentle music in the background every now and then. But I feel that the thumping trance music they have been using for the past two or three years does not fit or represent the show at all.
Even my other half commented the other night on how he felt the theme music would be more suited to the program "999" instead. He said he was expecting Micheal Burke's voice appear over the top at any moment.
They are just filling time silly! It's a way of showing off some fabulous camera work, and keeping your attention. The beeb doesn't want you to nod off or go and make a cup of tea!

To be honest one of the things I like about the Chelsea coverage is the music, because you get a little bit more interesting items other than the bland classical rubbish that is normally played. As for it being thumping trance, you don't get out much.....
The one thing that has spoilt the coverage this year is the TENNIS, no red button during the day. So still second fiddle to a minority sport.......................
Why must you have back ground din ?? (I won't call it music) If you were there I am sure they would not put on a record before answering your question.
Or if you were on safari there would not be a little man with a ghetto blaster to sooth you between sightings of animals so why do we need it on the TV???.
