I'm all for enterprise, and good innovative ideas; but this isn't one.

Effectively, this device is just a pretty cover over slug pellets. A similar effect could be achieved, at a fraction of the cost, using an upturned flower pot.

On your website you say that this product protects slug pellets from children. I would have thought that these pretty painted 'flower pots' were just asking to be examined, by curious children, who could then sample the pretty blue sweets they find hidden beneath.

You also claim that this method is less harmful to wildlife. If a gardener is concerned about not poisoning wildlife, or children, then it is more sensible not to bring poisonous pellets into the garden in the first place.

Slugs pellets are particularly lethal to wildlife, and dangerous to children, when they are used in concentrations greater than those specified by the manufacturer. This is about one pellet per 10 cm. The 'pile' of pellets required by the slugbell far exceeds the manufacturer's concentration.

Also, it is not clear how many slug-bells might be required in a garden. One per hosta? Three per row of lettuce? They cost £9.99 each + postage.

This product seems hazardous to children, dangerous to wildlife, and (thank goodness) prohibitively expensive.
