My Pak Choi has a matt surface to the leaves rather than a shiny surface as those in the Chinese supermarket have and are not very 'bulbous' before bolting. Anyone out there got a preffered variety? Cheers, Tony.
sounds like you have one of the thinner leaf varieties, not sure if thats what they're called but that what I call them! I have tried a number of different ones but if you're looking for the supermarket bulbous ones with the thick crispy leaf stalkes that make a sort of crunchy bulb bit try mei king choi. I think I bought these from nicky's nurserys a few years ago and the seeds are still good. they also stand quite well and don't go tough if they get quite large! sow little and often as they mature quickly.
Thanks for that jobo - mei king choi, I'll look out for it. Cheers, Tony.
Mei Qing Choi. I'm getting seeds from a seedsman online. Thanks and Cheers, Tony.
