Hi everyone I have been digging in some compost onto area were last yr I had planted spuds. This area as been dug now 3times each time spade bit down and other than soil nothing. today i went out and spotted some leaves looked closer and realised they were potatoe leaves now i havent put them there this yr so somehow I have missed them not only once but 3times and to make matters worse they pretty large ones at that. I have dug them out removed and about to put in the bin, last yr my crop suffered from blight but didnt get to the spuds so Iam right in saying these are no good for for reusing as chitted.

    many thanks
    wendy

They would quite likely grow but personally I wouldn't take the risk, particularly if you have planted new potatoes/tomatoes nearby.

The may or may not be diseased (blighted)
