I have a terrible germination rate this year so have done some on kitchen paper with some luck, question is what do I do with them now? Do I pot them up with all growth hidden or not?
I have been pondering the same thing, as I germinated some sweetcorn in my kitchen cupboard using this same method (as recomended by some kind person on these boards).
What I have decided to do is to sow the sweetcorn with the kernel at the same distance from the top of the compost as I would have I sown it in the soil to germinate (If that makes sense) so I will probably end up covering the tops of the shoots, but only just.
Someone else with more experience might have a more informed suggestion though.
What are the seeds?

sweetcorn, beans and peas
The seeds you mention tend to put down roots first so if thats the case just pop them in as you would do normally root pointing downward, if they have started to throw up leaves just bury to level of the exposed leaves and do your usual prayer mat ritual. No leaves just bury normally, getting right way up helps but is normally quite clear whats what. All the best...Mike
