What should I feed my blueberry plant with?
Blueberriea are ericaceous so need a specific ericaceous liquid feed - and a dose of sequestered iron now and again - about now if flowering and beginning fruit set, and again in a month or two. Anything marked suitable for azaleas or rhodedendons etc. will do.
Yes some fertilizers include calcium compounds, like 'Vitax Q4', where others don't, like Vitax Tree and Shrub Fertilizer. Memory says that Pelleted Chicken Manure is blended lime to be neutral but it all depends what is written on the label.
Alys pointed out in the 'Edible Garden' that blueberries benefit by having another plant to achieve better pollination, so it may pay to invest in another. I have two varieties Northland and Goldstrum.
Liquid tomato feed is good for an instant boost but, if you live in a hard water area, mix it with rain water. Blood fish and bone would be good too, scattered around the base in spring, and you can buy chelated or sequestered iron products to help them take up iron and magnesium from the soil.
