good afternoon everybody,
plaese can anyone advice me about my blueberry plant should I keep in my greenhouse or outside in its pot.
many thanks Leigh
They're usually grown outside, in pots of ericaceous compost, or in the ground.
Birds can be a problem for pinching the fruit, so I think lots of people net them.
I had a new one a few years ago & was given a second last year so am hoping for my first decent crop. So far they look good this year!
They should be outside as they are hardy plants. They need a good sized tub of acid compost. They also crop better if you have two or more plants of different varieties. They will crop with jusy one plant but you get more if you have another one. They do need netting as the birds take them. Keep them watered and fed and do not pick them until they are really dark or they will not be sweet.
Thanks for all your help I put outside and go and get another, or could put it next to my raspberries.
Leigh
"Put it next to your raspberries"?
If you mean for pollination, no, Foodchat.
Raspberries won`t pollinate blueberries.
