coli and swede

  two weeks ago a sowed coli ad swede. the only problem is i have had some weeds grow. how long will seedings take to appear? how can you tell the differce?! shall i leave it for a week or so before i remove the weeds? im new at this.

  As my handle suggests I do not profess to be an expert but whilst I cannot offer any advice on distinguishing between weeds and crops until they have grown a bit may I suggest in future you sew your seeds in a propogator or seed tray and then plant them on after they have formed their second set of leaves. Maybe wait a while and it may come clearer as to what is what when they have grown a bit then you can separate the crop from the weeds.

  Hi Katie you must remove the weeds as soon as possible they will be fighting for the same food and water. I don't grow my cauliflowers or cabbage or broccoli i go to home base and buy 10 small plants for 1.99 it is a lot easier. i hope this helps you Allan

  The only advice I can think of is that as soon as similar looking plants start appearing in a line, you will be able to tell what's good and what's not! I'd expect them to start coming up any day now. I suspect they've taken so long because of the colder days.
