Hi
I'm new to growing veg, got my little patch planted up last week, planted 2 cucumber plants, one doing fine the other is a flop, looks like it been cut off from roots and push back in, if that make any sense, what could have caused that? how do I protect my other plant.
Ah well it amused my teenages when I announced that my one of mycucumbers was limp and floppy.
regards
Help!
lost my other cucumber today, what am I doing wrong?
should I re plant 2 more, is it the soil? any cucumber grower got any tips for me.
There are two things that spring to mind.
1-a snail, young cucumber plants are easily nipped around soil level.
2-Stem rot. This occurs when the soil at the base of the plant is too wet for any length of time
