Yellow leaves on courgette

  I planted the courgette 'Soleil' in the ground about two weeks ago as a large seedling and although it seems to be growing fine it's leaves are quite rapidly turning yellow as are the leaves of a plant I gave to a friend. I'm worried that this might be cucumber mosaic virus (I checked the Hessayon book) and, if so, then the plant is ruined. This is my first year of planting veg straight into the soil in my garden.
  
  I used the search facility on here and there was a similar thread three years ago and someone replied that yellow varieties, which this is, have yellow leaves. Does anyone know if this is really the case so I can stop worrying about my precious courgettes?

  Stop worrying!! Some yellow courgettes do indeed have quite yellow leaves.

  Phew. I've just been in the garden having quiet words with it and it does seem really healthy and has put on loads of growth in two days.
  
  But, the leaves are green to begin with and then turn yellow. Is this normal?
