1st lot podding up nicely, 2nd sowing doing well. Going to soak overnight the 3rd sowing, & will do Kelvedon for the last sowing.
I protect my plants with a barrier around the outside, use canes and netting to support. Take away barrier when doing well & use for next sowing.
This stops pigeons!!! If they do attack, protect & they should regrow.

As have very little space left for veggie growing, am growing peas up a frame, in bags, in my opened cold frame, they are protected from wind and - so far - from pigeons which cannot get into the frame. Have done the same with a few runner bean plants - seemed a shame to have the cold frame space doing nothing during the 'summer', putting bags in it seemed a good idea. We will see in due course whether it was or not, the plants all look well and are now spiralling up their supports as expected.
