a tad early i know ,
but if i want to grow brussel sprouts to be eaten on x-mas day,when do i plant them.Relatively new to the growing bug and my aim is to have as much home grown food as i can when the family come arouns,so any advice on other x-mas day veg will be more than welcome.
btw,all the veg will be grown in large containers.

Should be planted now. Bit late for sowing seed.

No - you can buy plants - I have for delivery next month. Quite cheap too.
Make sure you keep them well watered on planting out in this warm weather.
In a container they will need staking and a firm soil based compost.
