We have a super lot of comfrey tea, I was just wondering if nettle tea has different properties?
I can't remember, is comfrey rich in potassium? I know it's good for fruit and flowers.

I think nettle is supposed to be higher in nitrogen, I read that somewhere but not sure of the reference, so I suppose it depends on what you want it to do, Probably not so good on fruiting crops but maybe great on leaf crops

Whichever plant you use, you must pick only the tips of the herb or tea, for infusing. That way it is not too strong in tannin.

What an intersting thought, comfrey tea in my cup.
I just collect the drips as the comfrey rots down, no soaking in water- it smells too bad!
It's probably poisonous at that concentration!

Nettle tea - made from young tips - is good for humans and helps liver function amongst other things. Fresh young shoots are also used for making soup - see recipe on link below.
Nettle tea made from soaking the whole crushed stem, or just new shoots if you prefer, is a good tonic for plants -
Comfery is a good allrounder having high levels of NPK for complete feeding. See here for evrything you ever wanted to know about comfrey -
