am i ok to plant some potatoes now, i have just dug up my others, i only did a few to try and now i know i can do it i want to do loads more, is it ok to grow them in big massive pots, i grew them in the ground last time... thanks.
Hi Julie,
I grow mine in big blue Ikea Bags! 3 tubers to a bag. They do grow smaller but it's far easier to harvest them!
I've just bought some "Christmas" ones to plant now that will be ready for Christmas dinner.
Other than that, my gardening is all trial and error. I'd buy a few "Maincrop" tubers and give it a go. There's certainly no harm in trying.
Good Luck!
I believe that some suppliers and centres are selling seed potatoes specially for late sowing and for Christmas enjoyment. For the latter, you'b be better off with an early variety, eg Concorde.
