MELONS

  For those of you who asked me to let them know about my melon growing.
  1, sewed a packet of seeds in heated pottinh shed; and bought 3 grafted plants.
  2, seeded plants all look miserable in the open garden despite a brill hot season.
  3, 2 of the grafted plants are out in the open garden, they are in blossom and have tiny potential melons on.
  4, the remaining grafted melon plant is in a large tub inside the unheated greenhouse and is growing like a triffid, tonight we harvested its first ripe fruit and it tasted brill, several more to go and doing well perhaps 1w before the next one.

  I`m so pleased because I know melons can been grown and they taste just wonderful.
  
  I`m not so lucky this year-was growing `Angel` but despite my attempts to politely introduce the males and females,and even strip them before a veritable thrust none wanted to grow.
  
  Oh well I`m just a gardener and maybe Angels prefer some more immaculate type of conception?

  My melons were fertilised by God's flying creatures.
  
  Grafted plants in a greenhouse make such a difference.
