this may be a silly question but I was wondering if I can eat the unpollinated courgettes, like the tiny baby ones in the shops that cost a fortune!!
Are they edible??
Providing they are still green I would have thought you would come to no harm. I'm told that you can also eat the flowers - but I haven't done so!!!
yep flowers you can definately, very good too, lots of recipes for the flowers on the bbc website.
I thought that you could eat the unpollinated ones because of the tiny ones you can buy, surely they must be unpollinated!?
I eat all the courgettes my plants produce. Tiny baby ones, bigger ones, the lot. I'd never thought about smaller ones being unpollinated. Never done me any harm. I tried a flower once, but wasn't fussed - no taste.
thats great, I can't wait for my first on, thinking maybe in an omlette, my little girl loves omlette!
