I was wondering when I have to renew my strawberry plants, I have had them in my plot for 2 years and wondered if I have to renew them incase they do not produce so well next summer as one patch of them has not produced this year.
Plants are best replaced after 3 - 5 years, any sooner is a waste, IMO. Their yield should increase after the first year. It is perpetual motion - plant out runners and remove the oldest if they are showing signs of disease or virus.
