hi my cauiflowers have gone to seed.can i still eat yhem.or dump them kind regards george.
Sorry I can't help you out geoscaff, but I have a question for you...how do know when they went to seed? (sorry I'm less than a novice )
I have the same problem with my broccoli. The plants I think have gone to seed. I have pulled one plant out and left another just to see if it will come back.
hi hammerhead. last week the head of the cauliflower was dead tight, now they are open with little stalks sticking out.kind regards george.
Cauliflower bolts very quickly. One day a tight head and the next all split up. When the head is just apprearing I break the big leaves round about and bend them over the head to completely cover it. This keeps them from bolting too quickly. You can still use bits of them once bolted , I tend to use these bits for stir fry but once they go too far the flavour is not the same
