Tonight we had sweet and sour stir fried chicken with homegrown carrots, garlic, spring onions, French beans and mange tout. It was completely yummy!
The spring onions were a little large but they had a lovely flavour.
What are other people making with their homegrown produce?
My best friend and I were raiding hedgerows yesterday for Raspberries, rhubarb and Gooseberries to make jam.
We then spent the evening making it instead of the offered night out. I asked her at 11pm when we'd finished. Do you think it means we're getting old that we'd rather make jam than go to the pub! We laughed
Personally I felt much better this morning and had something for breakfast to boot!
Ha ha. Yes, I remember when I used to go to the pub but having 2 little ones put paid to that! Most nights I can I go down the lottie and I completely love it (I don't even miss the telly) and you don't wake up with a hangover.
Tonight we had homemade pesto with basil and pesto from the garden with garlic and parsley bread.
Don't really know what to do with the two kohl rabi I pulled out today.
I've started cutting my Friday nights out short or cancelling altogether so I don't have a hangover for working in the garden at the weekend.
