I planted cauliflowers and brussel sprouts, initially the grew very well, but they seem to have stopped. The caulis have loads of leaves, but no curds. The brussels seem to have stopped growing at about 3 feet. My soil is very sandy and dries very quickly although I do water them every 2nd day. I have also fed them with some general garden fertiliser. Any thing else I should do?
I too have same problem as secretprison (great name!) and interested in advice, suggestions please.
Thanks
Okay, just seen the other thread below about Brussels so will leave alone and see what happens.
I have some with curds and some without so not exactly the same problem. I`ve fed mine with the Ridhard jackson flower food which can be used for fruit and veg and so far am doing well with everything. I`m overun with tomatoes. I`ve got lots of cucumber so doin something right.
Has anyone any ideas why this is happening to my cauliflowers??
