I have a Stella which provides sweet and plentiful fruits and was after a suitable cherry to compliment this one. Perhaps which fruits at a different time. Any suggestions/leads welcome.
Probably useful to know that we are in the Isle of Wight, so pretty mild.
Hi Calculad,
I think you'd probably get the best advice on this on from somebody near where you live -a local old fashioned type nursery man or the amateur gardening club member as I understand that cherries are very much a case of "horses for courses".
For what it's worth, when I was an expat in Essex many years ago now, I had a Stella and an Early Rivers bought from Ken. The Early Rivers ( a very old variety) did decidedly better for me and produced the better fruit but the Stella provided pollination.
Try `Deacons`? They are based there
