hi all.my parsnips are very large,plenty of tall foliage.do i leave them in till they get some frost in them.and with them being so big will they taste woody.kind regards george.
Leave 'em in until the frosts have sweetened 'em up a bit. You may need to cover them with straw to keep them available when the frost is on the ground.
If they are woody, being large, (the parsnips that is), you could remove the inner core and still have enough for dinner. Cheers, Tony.
