My brocolli plants are suddenly suffering from an infestation of caterpillars. Some of them are so hard to see as they are just tiny green things and blend in very well with the leaves.
What is the best way to get rid of them as there are just too many to remove by hand?
Thanks.
Wokman.
I can't answer your Q but would be intrested in the replies. I've always squashed them but this year they've attacked my swedes and are almost undetectable being the same colour as the leaves.
I'm afraid the best form of attack is defence i.e. stopping them getting on your plants in the first place. Not much help now I know but I grow mine under frames covered in 0.5cm netting. Butterflies just can't get in.
I`ve said it before, this product works.
100% everytime.
Thanks for the link pastmemories,
Where can I buy that ready for the next year ? The site only seems to sell in boxes of 12.
I have managed to get rid of most of them by hand, but they did manage to have a good go at the leaves.
Any chance of these plants recovering do you think, as they are still rather young and some of them only have 2 leaves left on them ?
I bought mine from CPC/Farnell, but just looked, and not listed at the moment. But I did buy some last year, and this. No harm in asking them.
