Hi, ever the optimist I'm trying to grow 200 yew trees to make a hedge having successfully taken and rooted cuttings from an existing tree. My problem is that all the pots now have a covering of Liverwort which cannot be helping my trees. How can I stop this from growing and prevent it next time I pot up my trees. The pots are standing in full sun for most of the day.

The liverwort (apart from using a little moisture), may be stopping more moisture being lost to the air by covering the soil keeping the sun of the surface. Cheers, Tony.
