I have just become the proud owner of an allotment, but don't know where to start, any help would be greatly appreciated!! thankyou

I have grown veg in the garden for a few years, but to go large scale ???????.

Welcome aboard - his has been my first season and loving it.
My suggestion is that if the plot you have inherited has been used recently then make a quick map of what you can tell has been growing where before everything dies away - that way you can start to plan your divisions for rotation based on what was growing where recently. if you can't see evidence your neighbours might remember where say potatoes were planted this year.
