how long can i keep my onions in the ground, they look fine at the moment so i thought i could leave them in still is this ok
No get them out and dry them off in an airy light place. Left, they will start to shoot very soon. Or rot. They just won't sit there looking pretty and doing nothing for very long!
There is an old wives tale (or not)? That if you angle the root towards the sun when drying them off, they will not sprout in storage. You can try it! Cheers, Tony.
Did anyone see that Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú Coast series with the French onion sellers?
The onion seller told us that, when stringing onions, it`s important to tie off the stalks very tightly near the bulb, so that air cannot get in. He said this keeps them fresh for longer.
I didn`t know that before, and I think it`s a good idea to try.
