Hello I use my back garden as an allotment and if i was to put horse or cow manure on soil my neighbours would not be very happy so was thinking about putting down chicken manure pellets there not as strange smelling. but iam not sure if this will be enough feed for soil needs alot of feed, or is there something i can use with chicken. Soil type is heavyish was clay but manage to get alot of the clay out put lots of organic compost and some grow bags in this yr and it getting lighter. any advice welcome thanks

Offer your neighbours some of your surplus produce, they won't be so quick to complain about the smell. Well rotted faryard manure has very little smell and if you dig it in right away, chicken manure pellets -none at all. Cheers, Tony.

Horse muck doesn't smell, mine hasn't and I've waited for 12 months for it to rot down...
