I feel I should know the answer to this, but it seems I don't.
I've grown Autumn Bliss for several years, always pruning in February. However, I shall be leaving the country at the end of November, not returning until mid April. Do you think it will be okay to prune them just before I leave? I can't see I really have any other choice.
Can't see that that would be a problem, Muddy. They're not going to do much growing now, what with frosts forecast for the weekend. Hope you're going somewhere warmer!
I can't see it being a problem either. I usually cut mine back to about 2 feet in November, then prune them right back in late February.

I agree. I prune my summer and autumn fruiting raspberries at exactly the same time, mostly around November.
Both do well on this!
Thanks All, so November it is.
And Oldends, I am. Sailing from UK via Falkland Islands, Cape Horn (not so warm there), Pacific Islands to Oz, NZ, USA, Panama Canal, Caribbean, then back to lots of weeding.
