Just watched Toby on Gardener's World and he took the fushcias out of hanging baskets and repotted them individually in pots to put in the greenhouse over the winter. In fact I did this myself with one plant I had and it grew very well this year.
Hope this is of some help.
There are hardy fuchsias and frost-tender fuchsias. It depends which varieties you have there.
If they are tender, pot them on and put them in the greenhouse, and keep frost-free. (As a poster has already advised)
But if they are the hardy fuchsias, they can stay over winter in the garden
Thanks for that advice
Last year I collected all the material from another allotmenteer's fuschia pruning and made over 100 cuttings. Several 'struck', but only one overwintered and it then won a prize at our local show as a 'standard'.
