....in pots next to the house and we have had several frosts here, OK they are taking along time to go red now but soldiering on....they are indestructible!!
I grew two plants down the allotment. All of the chillies where dark gren or black, so as it was getting colder I picked one plant and brought them home.
The other plant remained down the allotment and has since been frosted which has resulted in all the chillies going soft and being not much use.
I noticed last night that the chillies from the other plant has started to turn red in doors.
Might be an idea to pick some of your chillies to avoid loosing the lot if it gets much colder.
I agree, the chillies look O.K. but soon turn soft and mushy after a frost. Cheers, Tony.

I have been picking and using them fresh as they ripen and have one or two plants in a plastic mini green house.
The ones still out side have just avoided the frost because they are near the wall at the back of the house.
Because they are so long lived in a greenhouse, indoors or in another country they would go on and on probably what I should do is pick them all even green I'm sure they are perfectly usable.
I am being neglectful and wasteful I have so many hanging drying in the kitchen plus a big bag full in the freezer.
