a good morning to each, i was going to get some compost from the council, the compost is the kitchen and garden waste, it is dried and chopped up finely, but i was thinking would it be ok to get some fresh horse manure and spread this on top of the soil after i have dug in the council compost and leave this over winter before digging it in in the spring.would i be able to plant my veg as i know that fresh horse manure can burn the plants if it is not well rotted,i hope i have explained this clearly as being a newcommer to growing my own i want to get things right, any advice would be most welcome, kind regards chris

Fresh horse muck can be hot but it`s good stuff.

I would just spread it and let the worms do the rest-why dig stuff in when others can do it for you?
