    Hi All,
Well the snow's hit our part of france over night and i woke to about 3 inch of snow,

I find when the snows down on the ground the place seems a bit silent,

I put the bin lid full of birdy offerings out this morning and it was'nt long until the birds started to feed ,

    "So some things never change".

I remember when i had the allotment a few years ago and one or two plots that didnt see much human gardening all year and to be honest these couple of plots looked a mess and i think a bit like people who have nice gardens in their homes always seem to be near a family who have the largest garden but are just not interested in gardening and are happy to have the garden full of junk,

It's only when the snow has fallen on these gardens do all the gardens look much the same.

nature has it's ways of doing things and we can't do much about it.

    On the same note....

In summer the greenery covers the litter that blights our countryside. During winter it shows itself till the snow falls. it's only then that we can kid ourselves that we have a pristine environment. Nice whilst it lasts, then the snow melts......

I doubt if you have the same problem in France, punpun.

    Hi bogus the fungi man,
    Nice to hear your reply,
tobe honest i was only saying the same thing this morning," We take the dogs for walkies twice a day" and i said to the wife we never see litter ect but we do live deep in the countryside and as a norm we see about 4 tractors a day and a few cars driving down the lane so you can see why it's so unspoilt ref litter ect,

we've lived here a few years now and we still get that buzz we got when we first came to live here, the peace, the very old fashioned ways ie the bread van comes every other day and the butcher once a week, and and the 6 neighbours we have spread over some 5 mile hamlet all stop and get out of their cars to shake hands and do the kissy bit,

it really is a nice clean place to live.
