Hi I have just received 12 autumn bliss raspberry canes is it ok to plant out now during this extreme cold weather? And should I water in?.
I think the answers are - No and No.
Stick their roots in a pot of compost then keep moist until the weather improves.
Sorry my reply was so cryptic - I just wanted to get in under the bar when the boards closed at midnight.
The other advice you have been given is spot-on
Thankyou for the advice I have soaked the roots and plated in pots of compost in the shed fingers crossed the ice will thaw and can get them in the ground, as you have probably guessed I am new to gardening, looking forward to spring and getting started on the veg plot, sure this website with be very helpful.
