Has anyone tried growing these tomatoes? They were mentioned on TV yesterday and are supposed to be the best flavoured cherry tomatoe.
Grajean,
Never heard of them until I also saw the programme and would be interested.
I was brought up with Ailsa Graig tomato's Father grew them every year as he could manage to stagger them and get a long season, I still think they were the best flavour but I ask was that because I was used to them.
On the tomato thread people are putting up all types as favourite some I consider tasteless so does it all come down to your own taste buds?
Frank.
I also saw the TV item and made a note to give it a try. You can get it, along with umpteen other tomatoes, from here...

I have grown them for the last two tears I love them. They are firm and just a little bit tart and I still have some on the plants in the greenhouse. Last year I grew 50 plants and was eating handfulls every day and I also son blushed pounds which I am still eating on salad. Asda sell them so you could buy some to sample and save the seed although mine are tastier than the supermarket.
Just emailed moreveg.co.uk to ask if they will be stocking Piccolo seeds and I have to contact them again in January to find out if they have stock.
