    Hi all,
Well here in this dept in france the weathers turning back to freezing and so we've been warned,

Get the machine's inside under cover and ensure they've had anti freeze added,

My small tractor was out side last night and this afternoon it started for a few minutes and then stopped, I know its the diesil frozen and so im paying the price for (1) not putting away under cover and (2) not using the additive to the fuel to help it not freeze up.

But because of this very cold spell and all the rain of late dont be shocked it the dreaded "MOLE" hill appear all over your perfect lawn,

It's the worms fault as they move higher up towards the lawns grass roots and the moles live off worms and so their having a field day (get it field day)

Never mind, i always look for the good side of things and even the mole hills do have a good side and it's this,

The soil the mole pushes up is very good for using mixed with your own compost as it's really very fine soil & also this soil is very good for use as a standard rose base support, just add the mole hill soil around the base and tread it firm this help to stable the rose during strong winds.

Well folks time to enjoy the gardening books and make your plan for the spring work front.

The evening's may be cold outside but what could be better than a nice warm home, a drink and a good read about gardening?
