Hello All
Just starting my Turkey curry and noticed my chilli's which I grew this year and put staight into the freezer, have brown seeds inside when I cut in to the chilles.
Is this cause for concern !! should I throw them away ?
Any advice .
Happy Digging next year.
I don't think there is anything to worry about....I chopped mine up and put them in to ice cube trays then bagged then when they had froze some of the seeds had gone black and brown.......we have and still are using them.......hope that helps mate.
Whatsthemarrow...
It depends how brown is brown. It's the seeds that give the majority of the heat to chillies, so if you don't want your turkey curry too hot don't put in any seeds. If you want heat, for your own peace of mind, just use the lighter seeds, (but I'd just bung 'em all in) ! I've made my own Mango chut' to try with mine. Cheers Tony,
Hi Guys,
Thanks for the replys, put them in and all ok.....so far !!!

I used some of my frozen chillies recently and it seemed to me they were less hot than dried or fresh, must use more next time !
