I don't know if home and bargains is only a Liverpool chain of shops but they are selling seed potatoes for 99p a bag. I got some today and thought I'd share the news. I got King Edwards and some red ones that I've forgot the name of! I paid a lot more last year and my spuds didn't do too well so I'm scaling my spud plot back.

Those sound good prices.
Everyone seems to be jumping on the grow your own veg train, I was in Booths today and they are selling spuds, onions, shallots and rubarb. If you purchase 3 bags they are at a competive price compared to other stores. Booths are selling things in small quantities, probably not good prices for allomenteers but good for back garden growers who don't necessarily want 3kg of one type of spud or 80 onions.
