I discovered today that I have two parsnip tops in my wormery that has started to grow. They have stems that are about 10 cm long with leave with little leaves forming. Can they be planted out? They are in my unheated porch so the transition wouldn't be that harsh..

Yes and No.
Yes. You could plant them out and they would probably grow.
The No part is that they would produce multiple, not single roots, so would be a waste of space.
Can they be planted out?Â
Not advisable they will turn 'corky' and inedible, plus they will run to seed.
So the best bet is eat them now!
Well since it is just the top of the parsnip and it has been in the wormery for several weeks I think I pass on the eating part.
