Our carmilia has this last week lost all it;s leaves.
As this anything to do with watering, which we have done.
You may have overwatered it, and drowned the roots. Is it in a pot?
If it`s in the ground it`s unlikely you have overwatered it.

Make sure it's out of the morning sun - they don't seem to like it. Something about frost melting too quickly on the plant.

The morning sun would not make the leaves drop off.
The morning sun only does damage when the camellia has frost on it, and then it damages the flower buds and you get no flowers.
I would guess that, with losing its leaves, it must be in a pot and has dried out.
